Phase 1 of Fountain Park Residential Subdivision Complete
July 21, 2021
McGill recently completed Phase 1 of the Fountain Park residential subdivision. The project is located off Pond Road near Asheville Outlets and consists of 100 single-family homes and 140 townhouse units on approximately 55 acres. The development infrastructure was completed in the summer of 2020 and now the residences in Phase 1 are completed and occupied.
Civil Engineering from Start to Completion
Our civil engineering team assisted DR Horton, the developer, from the initial project inception with master planning and entitlement procurement through detailed design, permitting, bidding, construction, and closeout services. The McGill survey team completed boundary, topographic, and as-built surveying, as well as subdivision platting, to provide our client with a one-stop shop for this project.
Growing Asheville
When fully complete, the subdivision will be an asset to the area. As Asheville continues to grow, so does the need for housing. McGill is excited to help create housing for the community in such an accessible location.
“The character of the environment and topography of Asheville is quite unique. This site has provided some significant engineering challenges, but nothing our civil team cannot resolve. The result is like few others at this price point. With river views atop a fifty-foot hill or townhomes with the river in your backyard, Fountain Park is bound to attract some attention and sell out quickly,” – Thomas Mannino, PE, McGill Project Manager
