McGill’s 22nd Annual Spring Bass Fishing Tournament

On Friday, April 11th, 36 anglers in 18 boats hit the waters of Lake Rhodhiss for McGill’s 22nd Annual Spring Bass Fishing Tournament. Despite the on-and-off rain, nothing could stop these teams from enjoying a day of competitive fishing.

Rick Bradford and Scott Loftis with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission took home the 1st place prize with a 5-fish limit weighing in at 14.12 pounds (lbs).

Second Place

Representing Williamsburg, Virginia, McGill Principal / Vice President / Regional Office Manager, Danny Bridges, and his son, Christian Bridges, secured 2nd place with 5 fish and a total weight of 11.2 lbs.

Third Place

Third place winners, Chuck Melton with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and Chris Mostiller with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, also brought in 5 fish weighing in at 9.0 lbs.

Largest Bass

McGill’s Keegan Edge and teammate, Jake Shattuck with GE Power, brought home the prize for the biggest bass weighing in at 4.6 lbs.

Largest Non-Bass Fish

The biggest non-bass fish caught was a 1.1 lb catfish that McGill’s Alex Lowdermilk and Jon Swaim reeled in.
