Brookshire Park Greenway Opens

Watauga County’s latest greenway connection is officially open! McGill Associates was on hand to help celebrate the official opening of the greenway underpass at U.S. 421 near Brookshire Park. Watauga County dedicated the new greenway underpass and the roughly 2,000 feet of greenway that was constructed to connect Brookshire Park and the New River paddle access on the other side of the highway. This connection is part of a much larger project, the New River Headwaters Trail, which is a greenway project that will eventually connect Todd, Boone, and Blowing Rock. McGill Associates is pleased to have been a part of this important community project.
