Morinaga Americas Facility Hosts Open House
McGIll Associates Helps Celebrate Company Opening
Morinaga America celebrated its latest facility in Mebane with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 26; leaders from this international company’s first American location were joined by Governor Pat McCrory. McGill Associates was on hand to help celebrate and enjoy Hi Chew snacks, a product the company produces.
McGill Associates provided grant application and administration services for CDBG-Economic Development funds, as well as engineering design, surveying, and construction administration services for this 21-acre facility. The project includes 2,600 linear feet of roadway, which is accessible from Ben Wilson Road, as well as 4,000 linear feet of 12-inch waterline and 1,600 linear feet of 10-inch sewer lines. Morinaga is providing a $48 million investment to the Orange County community and provide as many as 90 jobs within the first three years, with room for expansion in the future. We are pleased to have been involved with this important economic development project.
